I didn’t start TracknRent because I wanted to build a “startup.” I started it because I saw a problem that kept bothering me. Event vendors working incredibly hard… but still losing money. Not because they’re lazy. Not because they’re unprofessional. But because of something simple: They don’t have a system. I remember talking to one vendor who told me how he lost money after a big event because a few chairs went missing. He wasn’t even angry at the customers. He was just tired. Tired of guessing. Tired of checking notebooks that don’t always make sense. Tired of relying on memory for something that should be clear. That conversation stayed with me. Because I realized this wasn’t just his problem. It was everywhere. So I started building TracknRent. At first, it was messy. I kept changing ideas. Rewriting features. Trying to make something “perfect” before I even knew what perfect meant. And honestly… I didn’t even really understand most of the code I was writing at the beginning. My friend Soham helped me a lot through that stage—explaining things, fixing parts I didn’t fully grasp, and pushing me to keep going when I felt stuck. There were days I felt like I was building something nobody would use. And honestly, I almost stopped at some point. But every time I thought about quitting, I kept going back to the same thought: “If this helps even a few vendors stop losing money and stress, then it’s worth it.” TracknRent is still not perfect. But it’s real now. And it’s being shaped by the very people it was built for. Event vendors. People who deserve better systems, not more stress. If you’re in the rental business, I’d love for you to try it and tell me what you honestly think. 🌐 https://tracknrent.vercel.app/ This is just the beginning.
