CRAYON processed the entire Linux Kernel source in 34 seconds. Tiktoken took 5.5 minutes (333 seconds) on the exact same hardware (Xeon Colab CPU). That's a 9.8x speedup on raw tokenization. Same machine. Same data. No tricks. Built under Xerv-Org. Open source.
